When I put this outfit together, it was a last minute thing. I simply wanted something light and comfortable for this Summer heat. To my surprise, it matched perfectly, down to the accessories and current nail polish.

Shoe of the Week: H by Halston Reanna
The color-blocking trend is still popular this season, and even if it weren't, who cares? If I love something, I wear it, not worrying about whether or not it is still "in" anymore, and these shoes are no exception. The bright color contrast is so alluring; the peep toe, and the ankle strap add elegance to the shoe. Unfortunately, these H by Halston babies are no longer available, but I was able to find a similar pair by BCBG (here).

Happy Independence Day!! I wanted to be patriotic and do a red, white and blue outfit post in honor of this day. I love color-blocking, and this bright red and royal blue make the perfect contrast. 4th of July for me usually means staying in the city and heading over to the beach to watch the fireworks. But this year I'm spending this long holiday weekend camping! Not only is this the first time I'm going camping and spending the night in the actual outdoors, but it's also the first long trip I take with my boyfriend. I'm a little nervous considering how I'm not really the outdoorsy type, I enjoy getting dolled up and wearing my makeup(which I won't be able to do) and I'm not going to have any access to technology for 4 days! Any who, I'm sure this will be a great experience and opportunity to unwind. I'll be back by Monday and I can't wait to share it with you all. What are you all up to on this holiday weekend?
