Crazy for Stripes

This was actually the theme for work last weekend, Bakers was crazy for stripes, wearing everything from skirts, to dresses, to ties. I had a hard time coming up with something to wear since I've always tried to stay away from horizontal stripes as bottoms, because they tend to make you look wider. But I believe that if done right, you can look fabulous and rock this trend, no matter what your body type is. I kept it basic with black and white and added a royal blue blazer to bring the outfit together, and add some color. If you're worried about not being able to pull off stripes, just keep in mind that its all about the balance. Since the color scheme is usually black and white, you can add a pop of color with your top. Stripes can be a little intimidating, but they also make an outfit fun and exciting, adding a little edge.

Ripped Jeans & a Pink Tee

I'm pretty sure we've all had those days when you don't wanna get "dolled" up so you just throw on a plain top and a pair of jeans. But you can still dress up that boring outfit, just by adding a cute pair of heels to make you stand out from the crowd. I've even done a little experiment by wearing flats, and then switching out into a pair of heels, and let me tell you, people look at you differently. There's something just so magical about them.

Fall Colors

I'd been saving this outfit for Fall since I felt like the tones were perfect for the Season. Burnt orange is one of my favorite colors, so I was so happy when I came across this skirt, it's flowy and perfect for this time of year and I'm sure it will be a staple in my closet this season. This clutch is also a recent purchase, I was immediately drawn to it because of the bright colors and embroidery. It adds texture and that "finishing touch" to a simple outfit.

A Night In Hollywood

Hey loves! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Today's post isn't my typical "ootd." These pictures were taken on a night out at the Sunset strip in Hollywood and I wanted to share them with you all. I've previously worn all of these items, but this just another example of how you can mix and match your clothes and create different looks every time!

Darker Hues

Its officially the first day of Fall and I couldn't be more excited. I loved Summer don't get me wrong, but there's just something so perfect about Fall, those Pumpkin Spice Lattes,  layering on those cute scarves and sweaters, knee-high boots, and let's not forget my birthday! The weather unfortunately hasn't cooled down, but even though I'm wearing a skirt and short-sleeved top, I feel like the darker colors really give it that 'Fall Vibe.'

Crochet Before Fall

With Fall only a few days away, I wanted to bring out my crochet shorts one last time. They've been one of my top favorites this Season, and its quite obvious, considering how I've already styled them from Boho-chic to White on White. Crochet was such a huge trend this Season, and quite frankly, I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it comes back Spring/Summer 2013.

Olive Beaded Dress

This dress has been hanging in my closet for probably over a year now. I had been waiting for the "perfect" occasion to wear it to. But being that I can't yet afford to go to the Hamptons on vacation, I made the most of it and brought it out this past weekend while its still hot,  for a cute and casual night out. The beaded detail is so gorgeous, that I chose to not wear any accessories and kept it simple with my flat sandals and orange clutch.

Mixin' Neons

This outfit was unplanned, but I absolutely love how it turned out! The heat has been crazy, so I took advantage and wore Neons one last time before the weather begins to cool down. Hope you like this look and have a wonderful rest of the weekend!
